Volunteer with Us
Volunteer with us
We are currently looking for volunteers for several important roles which will play a crucial role in our work. If you feel that any of the below tasks would suit you or you have other skills you would like to bring to the table as a volunteer with us, then don’t hesitate to give us a ring on 01874 620104.
Do you like providing customer service in person and over the phone?
Enjoy learning more about financial services in a cooperative or are you perhaps retired from such a role in your work life?
Do you have a reasonable grasp of computers?
Can you spare 3 hours (or perhaps a bit more) each week?
Social media whizz
We like posting on Facebook and Twitter but we rarely get it done. Therefore, if you are able to help us build a community and can take great photos for us at events, then we would really like to hear from you! Maybe you don’t mind representing us in person as well with our leaflets and flyers?
A few hours a week would really help us help others.
Data entry assistant
Do you like numbers and do you have a little bit of that magic that means you can concentrate on data entry for a while, then we need you!
We are happy to supplement with other more outgoing tasks if you want, or if you prefer, you can just get on with it. Just tell us what’s right for you.
Supervisory Committee Members
Brecon & District Credit Union manages members’ money to benefit everyone. We need more people to help ensure that our data entry is checked and that we satisfy the latest legislation. If you are a former accountant, banker, teacher or just like numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
A couple of hours a week of your time would be a great help to us.
Would you like to help run the Credit Union and oversee the running of the business, then maybe you could be our new board member?
The job requires 4-6 hours of commitment a month as a minimum, which includes a board meeting with preparation and correspondence, but we would be very happy to see you involved in the day-to-day activities as well to offer better support to our office volunteers, too.
Please call us and ask to speak to chairman Geoff Goodenough or treasurer Anne Phillips if you are interested in this role.
